Fostering a healthy and safe community at Atlantic Cape Community College is core to the mission of our College. While at this time we are not aware of any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our community, we have been tracking it closely. It is imperative that we do what we can to slow the spread of this serious virus and protect those who are most vulnerable and Atlantic Cape is taking all the necessary precautions.

We have hired additional cleaning staff, increased the frequency of cleaning services and increased the quantity of hand sanitizing stations on campus. In addition, we have asked our faculty to adopt a more relaxed policy for students who are missing classes and to prepare for the possibility that we may need to move to online instruction.

This is a difficult and extraordinary situation, and we recognize that people throughout our community are concerned about their personal health and that of their families and friends. Our surrounding four-year institutions have additional plans in place as they have many residential students living in dormitories, which Atlantic Cape does not.

We will continue to work closely with our State and local public health officials for next steps that protect our students, faculty and staff. Atlantic Cape will continue to monitor the situation daily and provide regular updates. For more information and updates visit www.atlantic.edu/coronavirus
