Atlantic Cape’s Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus offers a range of courses, services, and facilities that’s convenient for students who live or work in our state’s most famous city. With daytime and evening classes for credit and non-credit, the Worthington Atlantic City campus has the flexibility, affordability and opportunity that you deserve. Student activities, tutoring, testing, academic advising, counseling and financial aid are just a few of the amenities offered to all students. With the bookstore and the library right on campus, you have access to the tools you need to get started and to realize your dreams.


The Casino Career Institute (CCI) in the Caesars Entertainment Wing is an outgrowth of the college's mission to provide appropriate services to the people and industry of Atlantic County. It has been approved by the N. J. Department of Higher Education and licensed by the N. J. Casino Control Commission. CCI is the first licensed gaming school in the nation affiliated with a community college, and the only licensed slot training school in New Jersey. Students train in the mock casino in a simulated experience of the casino floor. CCI offers dealer and supervisory training in baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, and pai gow poker and pai gow tiles. Other training includes casino security, slot technician and slot attendant.


Health Professions Institute Facility (HPI) opened in 2008 and occupies approximately 5,600 square feet on the first floor of the Worthington Atlantic City Campus. The Institute includes a science lab, lecture classrooms and a computer center. Students receive comprehensive allied and auxiliary health training for a number of health care careers, such as Surgical Technician, Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Terminology, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG, CPR, and Medical Administrative Office Specialist, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Home Health Aid.


Serving students in over 40 languages, Atlantic Cape offers beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of English as a Second Language classes for non-native, English speaking students. Classes include interactive learning activities, audio language lab practice, computer and Internet lab practice, as well as textbook reading and writing assignments. All courses focus on increasing the listening, speaking, reading, grammar and writing skills of the students. Additionally, students access many Online English resources through our ESL Online Writing Lab.


Our Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus features an Information Commons with library, computer lab and tutoring services. This state-of-the-art facility provides the services of a professional librarian for research assistance and a fully equipped computer classroom, which is available for Information Literacy Instruction. Plus, assistive technology is available for students with visual and other disabilities. An extensive book collection features a strong selection to benefit our international student population.


The Atlantic City Campus was renamed in memory of Atlantic County’s first county Executive, Charles D. Worthington, in April 2001. Mr. Worthington had been involved with the college first as chairperson of its Educational Opportunity Fund Advisory Board and then as Atlantic County Executive, supporting the establishment of many college programs and the development of the Atlantic City Campus. The Caesars Entertainment Wing for Hospitality and Gaming Studies opened in September 2014, representing the largest expansion of the Atlantic City Campus in its 30-year history. The campus includes:
  • 20,000 square feet of multi-purpose space for classrooms and offices
  • Two teaching kitchens for Academy of Culinary Arts classes
  • The Casino Career Institute mock gaming floor
  • A hydroponic greenhouse
  • Health Professions Institute
