Charitable Bequest

A charitable bequest is a gift made through a will and is an ideal way to give without affecting your current cash flow. Charitable bequests are revocable, flexible, and can provide estate tax advantages. Bequests are often used to create a named fund in honor of an individual or a family.

Some individuals use a bequest to set up an endowment which continues their annual giving after their death. For example, a donor making annual gifts of $500 could continue that flow of support with a $10,000 bequest to the Atlantic Cape Foundation.

The Atlantic Cape Foundation offers sample bequest language for you to supply to your estate planning attorney.
