ACA to Celebrate Royal Wedding with English High Tea Service April 5

The Academy of Culinary Arts will celebrate Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding with a traditional English High Tea service, 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, at Careme’s Restaurant, 5100 Black Horse Pike, in Mays Landing.
The event will include a tea presentation by Paula Carlson, adjunct instructor and former Victorian teashop owner. Under the instruction of Chef Steven Serano, ACA students will prepare and serve a buffet with hot entrees, assorted finger sandwiches, traditional pastries and a variety of teas. Royal Wedding Centerpiece Showcase
English High Tea guests and the public will have an opportunity to admire a display of royal wedding-themed edible centerpieces, prepared by students in Chef Annmarie Chelius’ Centerpiece Artistry class, March 28-April 29, in the ACA atrium, M building. Centerpieces include: Kate’s platinum and 18-carat blue-sapphire diamond engagement ring and royal crown, Prince William’s hat, a wedding cake, the State Landau carriage, and other goodies.
