Art Gallery Features Work of Linwood Artist
March 30, 2011
Atlantic Cape Community College’s Art Gallery is featuring “Wild Flowers,” an exhibit of paintings by artist Robin Wesner of Linwood through April 20. An opening reception to meet the artist will be held 1-4 p.m., Saturday, April 9. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Wesner is a self-taught artist who paints with a palette knife. She has completed more than 80 large works in acrylic on canvas. She is an artist member of the Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, and she has had solo exhibitions in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Montreal.
“My paintings originate from compositions of flowers,” she said. Working from a realistic drawing, I develop the composition through a series of sketches, extracting a language of line and color from which the final work is realized.”
The art gallery is located in C building (C-125), on the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. For more information, contact Buddy Jacobs, art gallery coordinator, at (609) 625-1111, ext. 5346, or email@example.com. Visit the gallery online at http://www.atlantic.edu/artgal/artgal.html.
