Atlantic Cape Plans April 14 Information Session About NJ STARS Scholarship

April 1, 2011

Atlantic Cape Community College will host an information session for high school students eligible for free Atlantic Cape tuition under the NJ STARS scholarship program. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in Atlantic Cape’s Gymnasium (E building), 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.

There will be a panel discussion with representatives from Atlantic Cape, four-year colleges and financial aid.

Established by the state in 2004, NJ STARS—Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship—provides high school students graduating in the top 15 percent of their class with free tuition at their local community college. For more information about the scholarship, visit www.njstars.net.

Atlantic Cape’s transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities ensure a seamless transition to a four-year bachelor’s degree program. Students can save $20,000 to $80,000 on the cost of a four-year school by spending their first two years at Atlantic Cape.

To attend the session, or for more information about NJ STARS, contact Linda McLeod, assistant director of college recruitment, at (609) 343-5009, (609) 625-1111, or (609) 463-4774, ext. 5009, or e-mail mcleod@atlantic.edu.
