Three New Web Professional Series Offered This Summer

ACCC this summer is initiating three new credit programs for fledgling Web designers and computing professionals who need to increase their artistic or technological proficiency. Each program consists of five courses, including ones offered on campuses or online.

ACCC's summer credit courses can be transferred to four-year institutions by vacationing college and university students.

The three series are:
- Visual Communications, which teaches students the design elements that underlie graphic and Web communications. The five courses are Fundamental Drawing, ARTS 110, offered in the summer; Design Concepts for Print and Web, ARTS 116; Art with Computers, ARTS 135, fall; Web Page Design, ARTS 163, fall; and Web Graphics and Animation, ARTS/CISM 165, summer and fall.

- Web Design Professional for working professionals needing to enhance their proficiency in Web design. Courses are Design Concepts for Print and Web, ARTS 116; Introduction to Computers, CISM 125, offered in summer on campuses and online; The Internet and the World Wide Web, CISM 127, online in summer; Web Page Design, ARTS 163, fall; and Web Graphics and Animation, ARTS/CISM 165, offered in summer and fall.

- Web Development Specialist for working professionals wanting to upgrade their proficiency in Web application technologies. Courses: Introduction to Computers, CISM 125, summer on campuses and online; The Internet and the World Wide Web, CISM 127, online in summer; Computer Programming-Java, CISM 154, fall semester on campus and online; Web Page Design, ARTS 163, fall; and Web Design for Information Management, CISM 183, fall.
