50/50 Restaurant Gala Raffle Winners Announced

Lucky ticket-holders shared in the more than $19,000 prize in this year's Press of Atlantic City Restaurant Gala 50/50 Raffle. The winning tickets were drawn at the 23rd annual Restaurant Gala held March 23, at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The winners include:--First Prize, $12,750, Dr. Herman Saatkamp of Galloway Township
--Second Prize, $4,250, Barbara D’Onofrio-Getze of Little Silver
--Third Prize, $1,417, Concord Atlantic Engineers of West Atlantic City
--Third Prize, $1,417, Group ticket of college employees Kathy Fritz of Egg Harbor Township, Carol Drea of Glassboro, Pat Kubaska of Egg Harbor Township; Esther Gandica of Linwood; Silvia Schottinger of Lavallette, Michelle Andrews of Linwood, Jo-Ann Volpe of Mays Landing; and Philadelphia Sign Company of Palmyra (30 percent).
--Third Prize, $1,417, Seashore Campsites of Cape May
Winning amounts were based on the number of tickets sold. More than 400 raffle tickets were sold at $100 each, raising approximately $19,834 for scholarships. Presented by Commerce Bank, this year’s dining extravaganza attracted nearly 1,000 attendees and raised a record-breaking $210,000 for culinary and college scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Atlantic Cape Community College. In its 23-year history, the Gala has raised more than $1.4 million for college scholarships.
