Galloway Township American Legion Post 430 Donates $50,000 to Atlantic Cape
November 10, 2011
The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation accepted a $50,000 gift from the Galloway Township American Legion Post 430 on Nov. 10, at Atlantic Cape’s Veterans Day Ceremony at the Mays Landing Campus.
The donation will provide annual scholarships for veterans from Galloway Township attending Atlantic Cape. The gift will provide up to $1,000 tuition assistance for at least five students a year over the next 10 years.
“Create Opportunity: The Capital & Scholarship Campaign for Atlantic Cape Community College,” is the college’s first major gifts campaign. The campaign has two initiatives: increase college-based financial assistance by enhancing the scholarship endowment and secure funding to purchase furnishings and scientific equipment for the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics facility to be built on the Mays Landing Campus.
