Academy of Culinary Arts Announces 30th Anniversary Dinners Featuring Alumni Chefs

In honor of its 30th anniversary, the Academy of Culinary Arts will host a series of special dinners this spring at Careme’s, the on-campus, student-run gourmet restaurant, featuring the culinary talents of some of ACA’s top graduates.
· Tuesday, March 6: Chef George Kyrtatas, ’99, executive chef, Hathaway’s Restaurant in Cinnaminson
· Monday, April 2: ACA faculty alumni, including: Chef Annmarie Chelius ’84, Chef Suzanne Feye ’85, Chef Bruce Johns ’86, Chef Ruth Latorre ’02, Chef Steven Serano '96, Chef Joseph Sheridan ’96, Chef Vincent Tedeschi ’98, Chef James Usilton ’86 and Chef Linda Wohlman ’93, will prepare their special dishes for you to enjoy.
· Thursday, May 10: Chef Jeffrey Martell ’96, assistant executive chef at Luxor and Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas; and Chef Patrick Higgins ’83, executive chef at Aurora Inn and E.B. Morgan House in Aurora, N.Y.
Chefs will prepare a special five-course meal featuring specialties from their restaurants. Seating is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30. For reservations, contact Careme’s Restaurant at (609) 343-4940.
Careme’s is located at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, 5100 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing.
