Win a Car at Atlantic Cape Golf Tournament Oct. 12

September 6, 2012

The 2012 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble ‘Fore’ Scholarships golf tournament will feature a hole-in-one shootout for a chance to win a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, sponsored by Burke Motor Group, Friday, Oct. 12, at the Cape May National Golf Club.

The tournament will follow a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun-start at 11 a.m.

Player fees, which include gift bags, lunch and a dinner awards banquet, are $150 per person and $500 per foursome. Wine samples provided by FLASQ wines will be available on the course.

The Chalfonte Hotel in historic Cape May will host and cater an awards dinner at 5:30 p.m., in the acclaimed Magnolia Room, which received a glowing review by Philadelphia Inquirer Food Critic Craig LaBan in July. Dessert will be prepared by students at Atlantic Cape’s Academy of Culinary Arts.

This year, golfers can participate in skills challenges, including a rowboat chipping contest, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests. A Kindle Fire will be awarded to one of the skilled golfers.

Individuals and businesses can also participate in six sponsorship package opportunities ranging from $125 to $5,000. Last year’s event raised $25,000 for Atlantic Cape scholarships and Foundation operations.

Located on Route 9 near renowned Victorian Cape May, and centrally located along one of the world’s most famous bird migration flyways, Cape May National has been recognized as one of the most naturally beautiful courses in the United States.
