Last Chance to Register for Spring Classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts

Time is running out to register for spring classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. Classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 22.

New culinary students should make an appointment to register with Judy DeSalvo, (609) 343-5624 or desalvo@atlantic.edu.

Seats are available in a variety of classes, including evening courses that meet 5-10 p.m., Monday-Friday. The Academy offers two-year degree programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, and food service management, and specialization programs in hot foods, baking and pastry, food service management and catering.

ACA students are offered many opportunities to gain hands-on experience throughout the year. Some activities include: Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala, Iron Student Chef Competition, American Culinary Federation’s Junior Chefs Competition, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs dinner, The Campus Kitchen at Atlantic City, Strudels Bakeshop, Culinary Student Association, Baking & Pastry Club and food shows.

Full-time classes meet five hours a day, Monday through Friday, in morning, afternoon or evening sessions. Part-time classes are available also.
