April 11, 2013
The Academy of Culinary Arts accepted a donation on behalf of the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation from the Mays Landing Merchants Association, April 10, to establish a scholarship for a culinary student.
Mays Landing Merchants Association Vice President John Ash and Waterfront Wine and Food Festival Event Coordinator Arlene Blosch presented a check for $1,000 to Academy of Culinary Arts Dean Kelly McClay.
Academy of Culinary Arts students participated in the 2nd annual Mays Landing Waterfront Wine and Food Festival at Lake Lenape Park in October 2012, which helped raise money for the scholarship.
“The Academy is happy to be involved and supportive of local community events. The Merchants Association has been a pleasure to work with, and our students are benefiting in many ways. The experience and networking are wonderful, and the scholarships are greatly appreciated,” McClay said.
The Mays Landing Merchants Association supports and promotes the businesses and restaurants in the Township of Hamilton and the Greater Historic Mays Landing Area.
