Atlantic Cape to host Veterans Gratitude and Resource Fair April 15
April 8, 2014
MAYS LANDING—Atlantic Cape Community College wants to show its appreciation for the sacrifices veterans have made by offering a Veterans Gratitude and Resource Fair from 4 - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in Room 111 of the M-Building of Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
The event aims to educate veterans on the services available to them on Atlantic Cape’s campuses, as well as in the Atlantic and Cape May County communities. Veterans wishing to further their education at Atlantic Cape or who are currently attending may not be aware of the resources available to help acclimate them to student and civilian life. Assistance services included in the fair are Atlantic Prevention Resources, Catholic Charities, Employer Support of Guard and Reserve, Military OneSource, Veterans Mobile Unit, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Featured keynote speaker will be Assemblyman Robert Andrzejczak. There will also be a presentation of the Seven Seals Award to Atlantic Cape Community College. This award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and is awarded to employers, ESGR staff members and volunteers, or any person or entity that significantly advances the ESGR mission.
Community members and families of veterans are welcome to attend. For more information or to RSVP, visit www.atlantic.edu/veteransfair.
