Free Entrepreneurial Training Begins This Fall; Information Sessions Scheduled for Aug. 11 & 18

Have dreams of starting your own business? Atlantic Cape Community College has partnered with the Ocean City Free Public Library, Ocean City Chamber of Commerce and New Jersey Small Business Development Center at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to present “Fresh Start Entrepreneurial Training Program,” beginning Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The 60-hour program is free for qualified students and will feature:
- One-on-one instruction from experienced business professionals, group coaching and mentoring
- Individualized small business group coaching
- Group/individual mentoring after the classroom training ends
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to create a business plan; understand funding resources; develop a marketing plan; understand information system options for customer relations management; and understand the basics of accounting and finance.
Information Sessions Planned for Aug. 11 & 18
“Fresh Start Entrepreneurial Training Program” information sessions are planned for 5:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 11, at the Ocean City Free Public Library, 1735 Simpson Ave., and Monday, Aug. 18, at Atlantic Cape Community College, Building T, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. Unemployed or underemployed residents of Atlantic and Cape May counties who have an idea for their own business are encouraged to attend.
