Local Philanthropists to Be Honored at Annual Restaurant Gala
November 27, 2006
The Press of Atlantic City Restaurant Gala Committee will recognize The Honorable John J. Schultz and Gary L. Hill for their philanthropic efforts and community work in the South Jersey area and for the Atlantic City hospitality industry at the March 7 Gala.
Featuring the theme "Live and Let's Dine," the 24th annual restaurant gala invites patrons to "taste the thrill" of nearly 40 of the area's best restaurants at one grand event at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Working together for more than 20 years, Atlantic City Councilman-At-Large John Schultz and Gary Hill have been involved in real estate, entertainment and rental businesses. While building their careers and financial resources in Atlantic City, they also became community activists, politically involved as well as major contributors to various charitable and civic organizations by donating their time, resources and financial support. Firmly entrenched in local charities, politics and city events, they continue their work through the Schultz-Hill Foundation.
The Schultz-Hill Foundation is a non-profit private foundation that supports arts history and education of Southern New Jersey through grants and donations. The newly created foundation will continue Schultz's and Hill's charitable works beyond their lifetime. They continue their philanthropic work by serving on numerous boards, fundraising committees and city and county events.
Proceeds from the annual restaurant gala benefit student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts and ACCC.
Tickets for the Restaurant Gala are $190 per person. Call (609) 343-5674 or buy online at http://www.atlantic.edu/gala.
