ACCC Offers Career-Enhancing Fall Classes From Microsoft Certifications to Healthcare Professions

You can enhance your existing career or pursue a new avenue with classes that are now forming at Atlantic Cape Community College.
Classes begin on Nov. 5 for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Corporation's professional skill certifications for networking professionals. The program offers computer and technology professionals a chance to become certified in one of today's most in-demand occupations.
Also beginning on Nov. 5 is a class for Medical Assistants, one of the fastest growing careers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Coursework includes anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, electrocardiography, principles of pharmacology, disease and pathology, infection control, CPR and first aid, office procedures and clinical experience in a medical setting.
Classes begin on Nov. 6 for Office Assistant and Technology specialists. The course covers such computer programs as Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Microsoft Word 2003, QuickBooks 2007 and other skills vital to working in today's high-tech office settings.
Nov. 12 is the start date for the Certified Nurse Aide class, a great way to launch a career in the healthcare profession. Those who receive this certification will be eligible to work in a variety of healthcare settings such as long-term care and assisted living facilities.
