Archery Team Wins Third Place in U.S.; Three All-Americas Named

ACCC’s Archery Team won third place in the U.S., competing with more than 200 archers in Georgia. The men’s recurve team took second overall, losing to Texas A & M in the finals by just four points.Brett Lazaroff, Tomas Wartownik and Desiree Sparano earned All-American honors. In individual scoring, Lazaroff finished fourth, Wartownik was fifth, and Noah Patterson was 16th.
In men’s compound competition, Kris McDevitt (20th), Mark Schiavo (28th), Pat Carney (32nd) and Josh Coleman (35th). Sparano finished eighth, Morgan Koeser (37th) and Rachel Dieterly (41st) as the women’s recurve team finished eighth overall.
Former ACCC student Sagar Mistry took first overall as an independent, earning a place at the University World Games in Turkey.
