Eleven Complete Noncredit Culinary Program at ACA

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College awarded certificates to 11 students who completed a five-month noncredit culinary career training program Wednesday, June 11.
The program prepared the students for entry-level kitchen and baking positions. Students focused on mastering cooking principles and practical techniques and honed in on areas they want to specialize in. The students also prepared for and passed the National Restaurant Association Food Service Sanitation certificate.
Students who completed the program include: Linda Beck of Little Egg Harbor, Margaret Breder of Dorothy, Steven Bruccoleri of Brigantine, Alice Buttil of Brigantine, Suzanne Jeffries-Fox of Cape May, Abdul Jones of Atlantic City, Pamela Kopp of Pleasantville, Hank McPartland of Margate, Kathleen Meiklejohn of Galloway, Mark Schnepp of Tuckerton and Christopher Zakrzewski of Mays Landing.
The students received their certificates during a ceremony at Careme's, the student-run gourmet restaurant at the Academy. Chef Jon Davies, an adjunct professor, taught the course.
