CCI Plans Casino Operations Seminar for Gaming Professionals

The Casino Career Institute at Atlantic Cape Community College will offer Controlling Casino Operations, a one-day seminar for gaming professionals, Oct. 16. The need for effective control of gaming revenue and gaming resources presents a unique challenge to casino operators. This daylong seminar will provide a foundation for understanding the system of checks and balances needed in a casino environment to produce reliable financial records and to protect gaming assets.
Seminar topics include The Regulatory Process, Table Games Revenue Cycle, Slot Machine Revenue Cycle, Cashiering Operations and Organizational Controls.
Michael Wozniak, CPA, will lead the seminar. Wozniak worked for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission where he developed and supervised casino audits and regulatory compliance programs, evaluated internal control systems and drafted regulations. He also has served as a consultant to numerous gaming operations.
Controlling Casino Operations will meet 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus. The fee is $295 per person, and participants can earn eight Continuing Professional Education Credits under the Accounting and Auditing categories of the New Jersey Board of Accountancy.
