Ten Complete Noncredit Culinary Program at ACA

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College awarded certificates to 10 students who completed a five-month noncredit culinary career training program Tuesday, June 30.
The program prepared the students for entry-level kitchen and baking positions. Students focused on mastering cooking principles and practical techniques and honed in on areas they want to specialize in. The students also prepared for and passed the National Restaurant Association Food Service Sanitation certificate.
Students who completed the program include: George Davis of Port Norris, W. Scott Eisenlohr of Galloway, Alex Federico of Absecon, Carlos Figueroa of Pleasantville, Glenn Giegerich of Atlantic City, David Lucke of Pleasantville, John Mallory of Mays Landing, William McClaskey of Pittsgrove, Daniel McKenna of Corbin City and Daniel Pasquerilla of Newfield.
The students received their certificates during a ceremony at Careme's, the student-run gourmet restaurant at the Academy. Chef Jon Davies, an adjunct instructor, taught the course.
