March 5, 2010
Time is running out to buy your tickets to South Jersey's premier black-tie fundraising event. The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala's 27th annual dining extravaganza is planned for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 11, at Bally's Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. With the theme "A Mo'Rockin Night," the 2010 Gala will feature a lively, Moroccan atmosphere.
Food Network chef Aaron McCargo Jr. and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bally's and Caesars Atlantic City Joe Domenico are this year's Gala honorees.
The annual event celebrates food with hors d'oeuvres prepared by students at the Academy of Culinary Arts and the house specialties of more than 30 of the area's best restaurants at a progressive dining experience. Each year, hundreds of food lovers attend the Gala, which also features several genres of live music, including: The Don't Call Me Francis Band, Ocean City Pops, The Exceptions, and Lenny Mitchell.
Time is also running out to buy tickets for your chance to win up to $15,000 in the Gala 50/50 Raffle. Sponsored by the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation, raffle proceeds benefit student scholarships at the college. Three cash prizes will be awarded. The winning tickets will be drawn at the Gala. Winners need not be present to win.
Since 1984, the Gala has raised more than $2 million for scholarships.
Tickets to the Gala are $200 per person, and 50/50 raffle tickets are $100 each. Order online at www.atlantic.edu/gala or contact Sean Fischer, (609) 463-4672. For additional information, find the Gala on Facebook.
