ACCC to Offer Free Sales and Service Training To Residents of Atlantic and Cape May Counties

Beginning in March, Atlantic Cape Community College will offer free Sales and Service Training to residents of Atlantic and Cape May counties. The training is provided through a grant from the N.J. Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The program will provide participants with training in communications, computer skills, business math, customer service and selling techniques. Upon completion of the program, participants will be prepared to take an exam to receive certification from the National Retail Federation in Customer Service. This certification gives graduates an edge when applying for exciting and better paying retail jobs.

The Sales and Service Training program is offered Monday-Friday for four weeks. Class times and start dates include:

• 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., beginning March 20 at the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Rd., Cape May Court House.

• 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., beginning May 1 at the Atlantic County Office Building, 1333 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City.

• 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., beginning May 30 at ACCC’s Mays Landing East location, Building T, next to the Mays Landing Campus.

ACCC’s experienced instructors will help prepare participants for the challenges of dealing with customers in a variety of settings. The training is free and the knowledge is invaluable for anyone interested in working with customers in a sales and service related business.
