Atlantic Cape Offers Summer Culinary Workshops

Four culinary workshops centered on preparing seasonal favorites are scheduled for June and July in the training kitchens of Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts.
- Summer Culinary Discovery, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 21-25, participants will learn about a career in the culinary industry through this hands-on workshop offering an overview of the Academy’s curriculum. This course is ideal for current high school students and recent graduates. The class is $350 per person.
- The Raw and Slightly Cooked, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, discover the basics of preparing sushi, its accompaniments and South American-style ceviches. Safe handling and purchasing tips will also be covered. This class is $65 per person.
- BBQ, BBQ and More BBQ, 6-9 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, June 28-30, utilize wet and dry rubs and a variety of sauces to prepare an assortment of messy favorites, including: Baby Back Ribs, Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork. This class is $135 per person.
- Fresh from the Garden, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, from the garden to the plate learn how to prepare tasty dishes with seasonal produce. This class is $65 per person.
