Description: Student Development Counseling Program

Atlantic Cape Community College accepts students under the open admissions policy. With this policy comes a diverse student population. The college, through the Student Development Area will provide a comprehensive program of student support services and student development activities. Counseling will address career and life planning, academic advisement, baccalaureate transfer planning, student advocacy, and self-esteem support. Counseling for the academic and financially disadvantaged students will be served through the Educational Opportunity Fund Program. In addition, cooperative education, job placement, special services, and reserved housing program will be provided. These programs and services will articulate closely with other student development units and with the academic support areas of the college, and with the faculty.
