Description: Confidentiality of Information
College employees by the nature of their positions are frequently charged with privileged information related to the college, its students and employees. As such, they are responsible for the confidentiality of such information and for its release only to authorized individuals.
In general, only such information on an employee or student which would be provided in college catalog is to be released upon request. Salary information on an employee or former employee is not to be provided without written permission for its release. Employee information requested to assist a collection agency will not be given.
Requests for information through legal means will be forwarded to the Human Resources Department for reply. Human Resources will issue a release form to be signed by the employee before information is provided.
