ACCC's 40th Anniversary and Inaugural Celebration:

Fall 2006

     ACCC hosted a series of events commemorating the 40th Anniversary and

       Each of ACCC's campuses hosted informal breakfasts that included remarks by

                       Dr. Mora, faculty, staff, and veteran ACCC personnel.

The Worthington Atlantic Center "Celebration of Excellence" 

    The WACC cultural event included performances by the WACC Band and Oakcrest High

                    School's Caribeno Dancers. Remarks were provided by Dr. Mora;

       Jean McAlister, Director of WACC; Bobby Royal, Dean of WACC and Community

     Affairs; Carmen Royal, Dean of Students; and Christina Cavage, Department Chair,

                                           English as a Second Language.

Presidential Installation

        On October 19, 2006, Dr. Mora was formally installed as the eighth president of

        ACCC. The installation ceremony was held in conjunction with the college’s 40th

       Anniversary celebration. It featured greetings to the president from many people,

        including State Sen. William Gormley, State Sen. Nick Asselta, Lawrence Nespoli, 

      President of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, and faculty and student

     representatives. Additionally, Dr. John Roueche, Director of the Community College

       Leadership Program at the University of Texas at Austin, served as the keynote

  speaker. The ceremony concluded with Dr. Mora’s acceptance of the office of President.
