For a South Jersey fine dining experience that’s unique, come to Careme’s, the gourmet restaurant at the Academy of Culinary Arts. Visit us for lunch or dinner, or for one of Careme’s special events! With advance arrangements, we can host groups of 15 or more for a meal, a meeting or an event.
Careme’s hosts a series of special events that are open to the public for a fee. One of the best-known regular events is Careme’s Cafe Series, which features a live performance by contemporary folk musicians, along with a light gourmet dinner.
Our restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
This is where our dedicated culinary students practice the skills that may some day make them famous. Someone who cooks or serves your meal here today may become tomorrow’s “Emeril” or “Julia!”
At Careme’s, our goal is to make you feel special -- from the way we greet you with a smile, to the careful way we garnish your plate, to the professional way we pour your beverage. And of course, there’s...
Whether you like to sample new food trends or stick with familiar traditions, you’ll savor the appetizing array prepared with care and presented with pride. Don’t be surprised if you find ice carvings, tableside preparation, or a carving station featured on the day you visit. All our baked goods and pastries are made in our kitchens by our student-chefs.
Our lunch menu changes every day, but our standards never change. High quality food preparation, attentive service, and affordable prices are some of the reasons our patrons return again and again.
