Daniel J. Matt
Birthplace: Mount Holly, N.J.
Education and training:
A.O.S. with high honors, the Culinary Institute of America
Chef Matt began his career after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., as a pastry chef at New York's famed restaurant, Le Cirque. From there he served as pastry chef at Hyatt Hotels and restaurants in New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tampa, Buffalo and Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. He was executive pastry chef at Trump Plaza and Harrah's Marina Hotel and Casino, both in Atlantic City, before joining the ACA faculty in 1987.
