Tree McCann

Mary Theresa "Tree" McCann

Chef Educator, C.E.P.C.

Birthplace: Philadelphia, Pa.

Education and training:

A.A., liberal arts and B.S., business administration from Thomas Edison State College with specialization in Hotel/Motel/Restaurant Management; M.S., Fairleigh Dickinson University. A Certified Executive Pastry Chef by the American Culinary Federation, Chef McCann has completed professional training in chocolate and sugar specialties at International Zuckerschule, Zurich, and Fachschule Richemont, Lucerne, both in Switzerland; and International Pastry Arts Center, White Plains, N.Y.

Career highlights:

Chef McCann worked at the Hotel Baren in Switzerland; the Hyatt Regency in Washington, D.C.; Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.; Golden Nugget Hotel Casino in Atlantic City; Bally's Hotels. She was the owner/proprietor/executive pastry chef of “Bakery Treats from the Heart” in Linwood, N.J., prior to joining the ACA faculty.

Honors and affiliations:

Winner of several gold and silver medals in chocolate and sugar in American Culinary Federation food shows.
