Typically, graduates of the Academy’s two-year program receive as many as three job offers. Employers from Atlantic City and New Jersey’s shore areas often come here to find qualified employees, but Academy students have gone to jobs around the world.
You can post your resume on a centralized web site where employers can read it, or just browse the continuously updated job listings, at the college's career and academic planning center. The center offers a full range of services.
Talk to employers and their representatives in person right on campus! Culinary employers from nearby and from food-destination cities like Philadelphia and New York have found employees at the annual college-wide career day. Just about each week in spring a different culinary employer visits, for an exclusive day of interviewing on campus.
To prepare for a real-world culinary job, every Academy student in the two-year program spends at least 400 hours in an externship. The experience can lead to job opportunities as well as lifelong professional friendships. As a student, you get to determine where to do your externship -- subject to Academy approval, of course. Academy staff will gladly work with you if you need help finding a situation.
