What if I have trouble accessing my course on Blackboard?

Please note the start dates of the Fall 2022 sessions and when Blackboard access begins for each session.

OK, the semester has officially started, but I still cannot log in.

Be sure you are typing your login information (User Name and Password) correctly. Please be sure that you are using the correct URL for our learning management system, Blackboard Learn, which can be accessed at https://atlantic.blackboard.com. I am typing my User Name and Password, but keep receiving an error that I have entered an incorrect user name or password.

Your user name for Blackboard Learn is your 7-digit student ID number. If you do not know your student ID number, you can obtain this information in Self Service by accessing your "User Profile." If you experience difficulty accessing Self Service, please contact Enrollment Services by email at register@atlantic.edu or by phone at (609) 343-5005. Please include all 7 digits of your student ID number, including all zeros (ie. 0003456). Your password for Blackboard Learn is your date of birth (mm/dd/yy) with no slashes (ie. 102070).

I am able to login to Blackboard Learn, but there are no courses listed on my "My Blackboard" page.

If you do not have any courses listed on your "My Blackboard" page on the first day of the session, please contact Online Help.

How do I purchase my textbooks?

The required textbooks and materials must be purchased in person or online at the secure Atlantic Cape Bookstore

I have my web browser set to stop those annoying Internet pop-up ads. Is this a problem?

YES. You will need to disable your pop-up blocker in your Web browser in order to successfully navigate Blackboard Learn.

Why am I having issues with Microsoft Edge files?

A known Microsoft Edge issue has caused problems attaching and submitting open Microsoft Office files in Blackboard Learn courses. To help prevent file submission problems, if you use Microsoft Edge, Learn warns you that you should close files before uploading them. Users can avoid this issue by disabling the "Open Office files in the browser" setting in "Downloads" or by using a different web browser.

Should I log out of Blackboard each time I use it?

It is not necessary to log out of Blackboard each time you use it. However, if you are using a public computer you will want to log out each time you use Blackboard for security reasons. When you are taking a test in Blackboard, please make sure that you only have one window or tab open on the device you are using to take the test. If you are logged in to Blackboard on multiple devices or in multiple web browsers this could result in you being kicked out of your test.
