Admission Procedures for Home Schooled Students
- Home schooled students who have received home schooled diplomas will
be accepted for admission as all other high school diploma students.
- Home
schooled students who have not received a diploma but are eighteen years
of age or have a GED will be admitted as all other applicants.
- Home schooled
students who are sixteen or seventeen years of age may be admitted with
a parent or guardian's signature in place of the principal/high school
guidance counselor, if permission from the local school district is not
readily available. Applicants will be admitted as part-time
students until they reach the age of 18 or receive a diploma or GED. Students
are required to take the Placement Test before registering for classes.
- Home
schooled students who are at least fourteen years of age, but not yet
sixteen, may be admitted as non-matriculated part-time students with
special permission of the Director of Admissions and the signature of
a parent or guardian, if permission from the local school district is
not readily available. The Director will interview the applicant and
make a recommendation to the Dean of Students regarding acceptance. Students
are required to take the Placement Test before registering for classes.
