Golf Tournament Raises Record $32,000 for ACCC Students
The 2008 ACCC “Scramble Fore Scholarships” golf tournament raised more than $32,000 for student aid at Atlantic Cape Community College. This year’s proceeds represented a 40 percent increase over last year’s golf tournament and set a fundraising record for the event.
Held Oct. 3 at Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May, the tournament drew 86 players. Proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships for students attending ACCC. The tournament was sponsored by Newfield National Bank.
Founded in 1978 as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation is dedicated to serving the mission of ACCC by providing financial support to the college and its students. In its history, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million for college scholarships, academic programs and enhancing the campus environment.
