Message from the President

Dear Cape May County residents:

Atlantic Cape Community College is excited to provide the community a new range of services beginning this fall at Cape May County's own full-service, comprehensive campus in Middle Township.

For more than 30 years, Atlantic Cape has offered educational opportunities at a variety of sites across Cape May County. Finally, Cape May County residents will have a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility for learning that we can all be proud of.

The new campus features a nearly 68,000-square-foot building with two connected wings, housing 19 classrooms and computer labs, a 100-seat lecture hall and student service offices. For the first time, Cape May County residents will not have to travel to our Mays Landing campus for science labs, library services or a bookstore. These amenities and more will all be available right on site.

We will unlock the campus today with a Grand Opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting. Atlantic Cape invites you to visit the new campus tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 25, at our Community Day open house from 3-7 p.m. You can view demonstrations in our biology and chemistry labs, tour the distance education facilities, learn about financial aid and student activities, and enjoy refreshments and giveaways. You can even register for fall classes and become one of the first students to attend classes in the new facility.

As part of Atlantic Cape's commitment to serving residents in Cape May County, the college made sure you can complete eight different degree programs entirely at the new campus. In addition, we will offer courses for many of Atlantic Cape's 40 degree options at the Cape May County campus.

It's taken six years to bring the concept of a full-service campus in Cape May County to fruition. Atlantic Cape appreciates the support and input that students, community leaders and residents provided along the way that turned this campus into a first-class learning environment for students of all ages.

Atlantic Cape is planning a series of events this fall to celebrate the opening of the new campus and to introduce residents to the facility. Visit our Web site for up-to-date details, and please stop by to tour the campus and meet the staff.
