The Atlantic Cape Community College archery team raised $725 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation last month at its annual I Shoot for the Girls fundraiser.

Fifty-six archers attended the Oct. 16 tournament at the Mays Landing campus – the team’s first home tournament since March 2020 – including the 19 members of the Atlantic Cape archery team.

“All but three of our 19 archers are brand new and first picked up a bow in September.  This was their first competition, and most of them did very well,” Coach Chad Affrunti said.

Other colleges that participated included the University of Delaware and Rowan University.

“Atlantic Cape won every collegiate division, with the exception of Male Compound,” Affrunti said.
