Reflections: The Gala Turns 25

The Event

The Restaurant Gala experience begins with a stop at the Ketel One martini bar that sends ice cold martinis cascading down a 6-foot-tall ice sculpture into your glass.

Then enjoy a sampling of the thousands of mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres prepared by the students at the Academy of Culinary Arts, including the raw seafood boat filled with shrimp, oysters and more.

Later, travel to the second floor of the Convention Center where the elaborate culinary creations of 40 of the region’s best restaurants have been exclusively prepared for you. From the exotic to the extravagant, take your taste buds on a culinary adventure.

Dance to the sounds of the Melanie Rice Orchestra or try your luck at Tiffany’s Keys for a Cause booth where you could win a sparkling piece of Tiffany jewelry.

Finally, save room for dessert. An entire room is devoted to the decadent offerings, including a lavish chocolate fountain.
