NJBIA 5 - Basic Skills Training
Basic Skills Training classes are available at no charge to all private-sector and non-profit employers in New Jersey. However, employees taking the classes must be paid at their regular hourly rate while in training. The Basic Skills Training classes are provided by a project funded by a literacy grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJLWD) and are a cooperative partnership of the NJLWD, the NJ Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and the NJ Community College Workforce Consortium (NJCCWC).
Note: Business owners are eligible only if you pay taxes into the Unemployment Insurance fund.
Note: Municipal employees (city, county state or federal), schools and colleges are not eligible for this training program.
