Certified Nurse Aide - Recertification

Recertification is required to renew an expired Certified Nurse Aide in Long Term Care certificate. If you were initially certified in New Jersey less than five years ago and your certificate has lapsed, you must now successfully complete the Skills Evaluation and NNAAP Written (or Oral) Examination.

The Skills Evaluation is given by Atlantic Cape Community College.  The written examination is given by Pearson Vue, approximately three weeks after the Skills Evaluation. You must bring completed paperwork and a partner to the Skills Evaluation. Required forms and instructions will be provided at registration.

An additional money order for $76 (Oral version $86), made payable to Pearson Vue, is required on test day. Personal checks or cash will not be accepted.

Two forms of identification (one of which must be picture identification) are required when reporting for the Skills Evaluation.

NOTE: Follow all directions carefully in the packet of forms you will receive at registration.
