Oversees the entire Men’s Volleyball program including student athletes and assistant coaches.

Salary: $5,000 stipend for season

Reports to the Director of Athletics

Develops relationships with college staff, area high schools, public and community groups to enhance recruitment

promotes student’s persistence and retention through athletic and related events

plans and coordinates team schedule and practices

Works with Athletic Advisor to develop activities to enhance academic performance, team building, and leadership development

Travels with the team to all away games and tournaments

Ensures compliance with college, Garden State Athletic Conference, Region XIX, and NJCAA policies and regulations.

Supports college-wide athletic events

Helps with communicating, sharing, and creation of athletics events and activities

Assists with the distribution, collection, storage, inventory and maintenance (cleaning) of athletic uniforms and equipment

Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:


 Associate’s degree preferred

High school diploma


Experience in athletics or recreation

Intercollegiate level and/or high school volleyball coaching experience required

Competencies and Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office including a strong working knowledge of Excel

Valid New Jersey driver’s license

Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products.

Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire

Working knowledge NCAA and NJCAA rules and regulations

Demonstration of effective student athlete recruitment

Terms of Employment:

This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
