This is a grant-funded position, scheduled to expire on or before June 30, 2022. Current Atlantic Cape faculty and students are not eligible for consideration, per grant guidelines. This position will assist the Executive Director, Innovation and Academic Resources and Academic Grants Coordinator in performing administrative tasks to comply with the Strengthening Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the 21st Century Act (Perkins V Grant) entitlement funds, as guidelines imposed by the State of New Jersey.

Salary: $17 per hour up to 26 hours per week
  • Assists the Executive Director, Innovation and Academic Resources and Academic Grants Coordinator in ensuring all approved Perkins-eligible purchases are executed as planned
  • Provides administrative support for all approved Perkins grant-related initiatives including, but not limited to, Career and Technical Education (CTE) guest speakers, consultants, and professional development workshops for CTE college faculty and high school teachers
  • Assists in disseminating and tracking student certification examination vouchers to appropriate CTE faculty
  • Works closely with the Academic Grants Coordinator to ensure that Perkins-eligible purchases requiring Board of Trustees approval are completed within necessary timelines
  • Ensures that all Perkins conference attendees submit travel request paperwork in a timely manner, and also submit conference summaries and final expense reports within allotted timeframes
  • Assists in preparing Perkins-related reports per guideline adherence policies
  • Assists with email correspondence related to Perkins for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Assists CTE faculty in transcribing advisory board minutes
  • Performs related job duties as assigned 
Minimum Requirements:


Associate degree required


Familiarity in grant funding compliance and strict regulation adherence

Competencies and Skills:

Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, PowerPoint and Excel

Demonstrated administrative and efficient organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 

Must be able to work in a busy office with multiple duties happening simultaneously and with tight time constraints

Terms of Employment:

This position is primarily located at the Mays Landing campus, but requires occasional flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends at any Atlantic Cape campus location.
