General Description:

 Sserves as lead ESL contact for student inquiries regarding credit and non-credit programs

  • Reports to the Dean of Worthington Atlantic City Campus and Workforce Development
  • Supports the office of Admissions & Recruitment, Student Affairs, Workforce and Academic Support Services to provide streamlined services for student populations
  • Leads outreach efforts to promote ESL credit and non-credit program offering: including community events, academic functions, phone calls and mailing
  • Produces targeted mailing lists from database, downloads data to Excel spreadsheets, creates mail merge documents for students
  • Provides comprehensive administrative support for ESL and recruitment activities
  • Maintains departmental ESL program appointment/session/workshop sign-in sheets and schedules in accordance with grant requirements
  • Coordinates with Academic programs for tailored ESL information sessions
  • Provides academic advisement and registration assistance to new and returning ESL students and/or students in need of support
  • Provides statistical reports tracking student academic progress
  • Assists departments and staff with student workshops and information sessions
  • Performs clerical duties such as data entry, scanning/imaging, filing, and answering phones
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:


  •  Bachelor’s degree


  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Data entry experience
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague management information system a plus 
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population
  • Experience in English as a Second Language or college setting preferred

This position requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
