Salary: $17 per hour up 26 hours per week
Duties:
  • Reporting to the Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program, assists with retention efforts and closing the achievement gap
  • Coordinates retention efforts for the EOF Program and manage departmental plans of retention by working together with the director of EOF as well as other staff within the department
  • Assists director with setting student persistent/retention goals
  • Oversees EOF Retention Plan
  • Coordinates retention activities with the director and staff of EOF
  • Oversees the process of recruiting students within EOF to be apart of the retention program
  • Works closely with EOF counselors in the execution of all retention efforts
  • Advises and register students
  • Devise a plan of action for the retention program that can be implemented for all semesters
  • Analyzes and maintains student data specific to EOF
  • Meets and works with at-risk/academic probation students of sophomore, junior, and senior status
  • Provides referrals to students for appropriate support services as needed.
  • Coordinates workshops, meeting, or seminars for students with intention of keeping them engaged
  • Reviews and manages the funds of the supplemental grant
  • Works in collaboration with other departments
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Recruitment or advisement experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population
  • Experience working in Higher Education setting preferred
  • Experience working with students preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct small and large group meetings and workshops
  • Ability to flourish in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague management information system a plus
