Duties:
  • Instructs, coordinates, lectures, and facilitates the associated skill labs
  • Prepares materials in advance for classroom and scenario lab instruction
  • Manages classroom activities, grades, and attendance
  • Provides guidance and problem-solving regarding student behavior and performance issues
  • Assists with the recruitment and intake of participants
  • Complies with FERPA, Title IX, Title IV, Clery Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other federal and state regulations as well as college policy
  • Maintains participant data and oversees the maintenance of participant files
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
  • Represents the program at internal and external events
  • Participates in professional associations and groups
  • Collects, compiles, and reports program and participant data as required
  • Performs related duties as assigned

 

GWO Specific Duties:

  •  Consults with the director to provide/ensure standardized and consistent delivery, ongoing support, learning and mentoring, and creating a solid team spirit and work
  • Ensures all training equipment, facilities and resources are maintained to a high standard and in line with statutory requirements
  • Delivers training courses to the highest standards of quality following the pre-determined syllabus for the course allocated, taking account of the requirements of all applicable training standards, legislation, and Atlantic Cape QMS
  • Assists in the perpetual review and revisions of training standards & legislation, ensuring that amendments are communicated, implemented, and documented
  • Supervises the students throughout theoretical and practical training sessions ensuring all exercises are conducted in a competent, safe, and professional manner
  • Works closely with management, course sales, and administration to ensure the highest levels of operational flexibility, customer service, and efficiency
Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications Education:

  • Associate's degree (in wind industry or technical field preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Heart Association's Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • OSHA 30 Training (for construction)
  • GWO Basic Safety Training w/Sea Survival certified, or ability to become GWO certified.

 

Experience:

  •  A minimum of three years of experience in wind or related industry sector
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience

 

Competencies and Skills:

  •  Sound knowledge of industry standards and legislation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proven computer literate with proficiency in utilizing and applying Microsoft Office as well as specialized software programs and computer applications, and ability to work with databases

 

This position requires scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape campus and other locations related to delivering the program objectives
