Duties:
  • Reports to the Director, Center for Student Success
  • Through regular meetings with assigned SSS participants, design and implement individualized interventions and supports in academic, career, personal and financial literacy areas for “at-risk” SSS students.
  • Provides assistance with career and transfer planning individually and in group settings.
  • Serves as a liaison to the Tutoring Center for SSS students.
  • Prepares statistical reports tracking student academic progress.
  • Monitors mid-term progress of assigned SSS students.
  • Process Early Alert and Academic Probation referrals.
  • Facilities workshops on generic topics to enhance student success, including career workshops.
  • Provides support for Student Affairs sponsored events.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s preferred
  • Experience in Higher Education setting preferred.
  • Academic Advising experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague management information system preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication and writing skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Ability to multi-task.
