Duties: |
Provides support for all network and security infrastructure in the areas of wireless, switches (core and edge), routers, firewalls (perimeter and endpoint), telecommunications, network cabling, monitoring, documentation and technical security controls.
- Leads the creation and maintenance of all network and security documentation.
- Supports and participates in all LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) service outages and the resolution
- Supports and participates in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all ITS network security controls such as firewalls and endpoint security
- Supports and participates in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data and voice telecommunications in collaboration with third party vendors
- Monitors all network and security infrastructure components
- Supports and participates in the maintenance and upgrades of all network and security infrastructure
- Supports and participates in all Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, documentation, and testing processes
- Supports the installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting of all software, hardware, and audio visual equipment in the student labs including classrooms (teacher’s stations), faculty, and staff
- Provides software, hardware, and application support to faculty and staff through the help desk phone line, the designated help desk system, email requests, and in person requests for assistance
- Maintains college printer hardware, software, and configurations
- Collaborates with other ITS staff during network, security and Help Desk troubleshooting processes
- Responsible for the technical installation, maintenance, and de-commissioning of college related event technology including but not limited to broadcasting systems between college locations
- Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: | Education:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of one technical certification: A+, Network +, and Security + preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of two years working with IBM PC and Apple hardware, software applications, and
operating systems preferably in a networked environment.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware and software applications including installation,
configuration, and maintenance.
Competencies and Skills:
- Demonstrated understanding of computer networks.
Terms of Employment:
- This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
