Duties:

 

  • Provides direct administrative support to the Director of Student Support Services Program and supports program staff.
  • Follows policies, procedures and guidelines to perform required functions while adhering to FERPA.
  • Processes Student Support Services (SSS) program applications; utilizes the college’s data management system to maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinates services for the SSS program and reception area to assist in the achievement of the SSS program, Center for Student Success (CSS) department and college goals.
  • Provides courteous customer service. Answers telephone calls, take messages and retrieves voicemail and provides information as directed.
  • Assists with preparation, organization, and delivery of materials for meetings and events. Compiles and maintains packets for orientation, workshops and activities.
  • Assists with processing of financial aid appeals.
  • Maintains files and financial documents as well as sustain inventory of program office supplies.
  • Processes requisitions and purchase orders. Provides back-up support for the Center for Student Success; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma, Associate’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work in a team centered environment.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population.

Competencies and Skills: 

  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and Ellucian’s Colleague Management information preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Customer Service experience a plus
This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
