|Faculty members are primarily teachers and are responsible for the preparation and implementation of assigned courses. The college expects faculty members to expend about three-quarters of their time in teaching responsibilities.|

||Teaches 15 hours per week of courses in Developmental Writing, English composition, and Literature; develops and teaches appropriate on-line courses; teaches day and evening sections at any Atlantic Cape Community College location; conducts a minimum of three office hours per week; participates in curriculum development and revision; curricula responsibility, including writing learning outcomes, assessment and program review; recommends selection of textbooks; assists in development of an effective means of evaluating and establishing clearly defined grading standards and procedures; communicates and executes classroom plans effectively; clarifies to students the expectations and standards for assignments and tests; advises students and shows concern for their academic welfare; responds to college's needs, adheres to departmental and college policies and assists students in course work and planning of programs; pursues professional development and increased knowledge in teaching through avenues such as self-and graduate study, workshops and conferences; participates in the college governance process through division-level tasks; participates in college recruitment day activities, college-wide committees, etc.
|Minimum Requirements:||Masterís degree in English or related field. Two years of teaching experience. Experience/knowledge in Accelerated Learning Programs. Demonstrated interest in the use of technology to enhance classroom teaching and student learning. Knowledge of Student Success Initiatives. |
