PT Instructor, Adult Basic Education

Salary: $25 per hour
Duties: Reports to the Assistant Director of Adult Basic Education; provides instruction for Adult Basic Education/Adult Basic Skills and High School Equivalency Preparation programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods; responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program and documenting the progress of the students; performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of one year of experience teaching Adult Basic Education, Reading, Mathematics and Language Arts. Strong computer skills with the ability to assist students. Ability to follow curriculum. Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to work with people in diverse populations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of the organization, internal and external groups, including students, program team.
Note: Must be available to teach days, evenings and weekends at any Atlantic Cape location.
