Salary: Stipend: $3,000.

Reports to the Athletic Director; Assists the Head Basketball Coach with all aspects of coaching, recruiting and scheduling the Women’s Basketball Program; provides leadership and instruction in the academic, personal and athletic development of student athletes; consults with college administration for resolution of problems; uses latest recruiting techniques to market and recruit prospective student athletes which include scouting at local high school games, develop and maintain professional relationships with area high school AD’s and assists coaches with mailings, phone calls and onsite high school visits; ensures compliance with College, Garden State Athletic Conference and N.J.C.A.A. polices and regulations; prepares travel and accommodation arrangements as necessary; studies, evaluates and implements innovations in basketball strategy and equipment; responsible for the maintenance of accurate statistical data for games and input into required databases. Required to develop & implement a recruitment plan. Performance evaluations will be completed at the end of each season.

Minimum Requirements:

Intercollegiate level and/or high school basketball coaching experience preferred. Working knowledge of NCAA and NJCAA rules and regulations preferred. The ability to organize and manage all components of a collegiate basketball program. Demonstration of effective student-athlete recruitment. Possession of a valid NJ driver’s license. Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person. Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.

Must be available for all scheduled games and practices. This position requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location and mandatory travel.
